The engine came out yesterday, so I thought we'd play a little game of "What's missing in this picture?".

I am not the Ford expert, but top dead center looks like a oil galley plug is missing.

Is that due to "blowing" out or did the assembler leave it out?

    Lucky sperm club,
When the jizz of the rich daddy makes it the the rich moms egg, therein lies the lucky sperm.
I am not however, a member.
Everything I have, I earned. I am quite bitter about it as you can tell. haha.
I can't beleive you never heard that term.

FE's still trips me out how Ford designed the valve cover area in two parts.

Yup, there's a missing plug alright. it's been a while since it was assembled, but since there's no plug in the pan, it must have been left out.
The w/pump fittings are stainless and original to the boat. This isn't a bling boat, so it'll remain as original as possible and billet-free. Kind of a HAMB style of boat....

The plate is there, just washed out from the camera flash
