ask maxi
and yeah maybe we will sack up next year
It's a Campbell tunnel bottom... And I know that I can't spell!
Steve
Actually I'm pretty sure it's a Jones tunnel. I think they just inserted a box into a Schiada mold or something to that effect. But again, just ask Ben as it's his deal. The thing seemed to corner pretty flat (at least the times we saw it up at turn one).
Chris
Maxi bought that deal? Man, that thing was for sale for a looooooong, long time... if it's the one I'm thinking of that was on craigslist forever and a day.
Your right flats, it's a Jones/Schiada.

Its a schiada! No wait its a Jones! Actually its a schiada deck mated to a jones tunnel. The deck was cut down the center & widen almost 6" to fit the bottom. Very cool piece with some good potential! When I bought it From Brian at B&D marine the only thing he knew about it was that somebody had tried it & didn' like it. So they sold it off. We got it in the water 3 days before the race & after blueprinting the bottom with a body grinder & remounting the plates... Prop & gear changes etc we were able to make it cruise quit well! If I hadn't cracked the imput shaft on the transmisson at lap 15 I would have probably been able to finish the race with no problem! The motor we used was a 10-1, hydrolic flat tappet 496. Top speed so far was 78 mph with about 80 gal of fuel on board. This thing turns very well & runs the chop with little effort...
I bet Dick was grinning ear to ear up there watching it run .

I'm sure you are right! Wish I could have met the man! When I saw this boat for the first time I fell in love with it! Somebody was as twisted as me...
