I was wondering if anybody could steer me in the direction on where to find info on the GN class, rules, spec's, etc. Thanks!

Try the APBA Rulebook online... It should be in there...

A majority of the GN racers are members of this messageboard and we would all be able to help you with any questions you might have.
Are ya thinking of coming racing in 07?
Give me a call anytime. (310) 318-4012 or email rossdbos26@yahoo.com
    Thanks,
    Ross Wallach, President GNRA

Thanks everyone, being winter and all my mind is full of all kinds of ideas. I would be lying if I said the thought had not crossed my mind to try this someday. I have noticed that alot of the boats are Rayson Crafts, is this because they are heavier than most to handle the rough water ?

The Rayson Craft is the best boat to use for GN racing. They are well built and they handle the conditions well

Sawtooth - I have raced in both Nostalgia and GN (1 whole race!). Both are a blast! Every competitor from the newbie to the long time veterans get a charge when they lay the hammer down at the starting line...
If you're on the fence, you can try Nostalgia with a very modest investment in safety equipment. Most of the boats in GN are Rayson's, however Nostalgia is just about every hull you can imagine, and a chance to see what you and your boat can do in real race conditions(with real safety measures at hand).
