Here is another thing to do. If you find a 67 350 block its designation code is MU,,,,then just close the top for a MO! Veola, a 1967 numbers match. Now the over the counter blocks did not have these since the plant did not know what car model they went into. However, a date of manufacture is near the bellhousing flange where the cast number is, usually on the other side. This may or may not help, but it is easy to check if someone says its a number matching block sold over the counter. I had two 1967 Z28s at one time and learned quite a lot, wish I had them back! One was a black Ralley Sport with 31000 miles! Tachometers also had a higher red line of 6500rpm but it would pull, in gear, to 7200 and that was around 121mph!
The numbers won't match if it's sold over the counter because in 67 and 68 the last 6 numbers of the vin are stamped into the block pad and the otc won't have that.
I think your idea is pretty sorry anyway.Anybody that knows their shit will see it's forged.
I found a few more #'s
Under the timing chain cover, passengers side

Behing the flywheel, passengers side

It has a forged crank, pink rods, TRW pistons #3927172
I doubt these #'s mean anything. But, thats all there is.
