Be careful that they didn't "lose" the key.
Remember they may have your plate number, which leads to your address, which leads to your car.

I had a valet lose the key to my wife's car. I need an invoice for the cost of a new key to forward to the insurance company to get another one made. Can anyone here help me????

Did she have any other keys attached to the car key? If she did, I would consider re-keying your house.

When the new key/keys get programmed, the old one will get dumped. However, they still have a mechanical key and with a little knowhow, that's all they need.
As far as the invoice, go get a new key and have it programmed and you will get an invoice. Or, are you looking to scam the insurance company?
