    TIMINATOR
I can find notes on what I did and make another, or ya might call the guy ya got it from and he can tell you what happened to it. Most peeps that see it probably wont be able to tell the diferences unless they have a stock one next to it. I have done several others like it for other Daytonas. TIMINATOR

how many peeps are running the 17-4 pump shaft?
I am. Be carefull there are some scammers out there that will put a regular one in and tell you it is a 17-4. I learned the way to check is put a magnet to it. If it sticks you are good to go. If it doesnt youve been had.

It sure can't hurt !!! If your making power it'll add a little piece of mind. From what I've learned, the only thing that'll happen to a stock shaft is it'll twist up like a candy cane. Not catastrauphic (sp???), but not good either.

You can get engine damage from a twisted shaft, it will twist then drive the crank forward (no end play) then it wipes out the t. bearing in the motor.

A magnet will also stick to 400 series stainless as well. Dominator and American Turbine used 416 SS for standard shafts until 2003. The 416SS has an ultimate tensile strength of about 95,000 to 105,000 PSI where as the 17-4PH is about 170,000 PSI.
