    So I have a 1 year old male and I have someone that wants to use him for breeding.. Should I charge "per session" or should I get one of the puppies from the litter? Just wondering what you guys think is fair to the other owner and myself?
    My pup is full AKC with champion bloodline and we paid 2k for him..
    let me know..

    Before you do it check out her dogs bloodlines. The last thing you want to do is breed your dog with some screwed up dog with bad health problems and then you now have a bad name for yourself in the breeding world, thus ruining any other chances of studding him out in the future. As far as the money or the dog question, you will probably make about 500-800 dollars for stud services, or get a dog and sell him for 2000-4000 depending on the perdigree. You do the math.

    If it's his "first time" you should be paying for her services, after that heII yes, make the bitch pay (Moderator's: that is a correct term for the usage!!).
    Actually, Selfmade has the numbers about right, but demand a Bloodlines history/health check, as well as a vet check prior to any attempts.
