Thread: Jet Boat EFI..home made metal brake

Not really Jet Boat related. I want to EFI my BBC Nordic Jet. I already converted a tunnel ram for EFI. I now have to make an upper box and adapter plate. So I decided to make my own sheet metal brake. Found some rough drawings online somewhere and beefed it up from there. Here is a picture of .100 alum 5052 test sheet that I bent. It also bends a lot thicker stuff as well. This only cost me 10 bucks in scrap and a couple of hours.

Good for you for having the balls to go for EFI.
You must have been hanging around that "Turbo Mustang" site.
If you can use it a local guy has a left over Haltech E6K like I have for $ 500.
I can give you my program which has the maps real accurate. (free)
Injectors can be bought reasonable on ebay.
Finding sources to buy the parts from reasonable is a huge advantage.
I paid too much for my stuff because I didn't know where to shop.
Having people to call who can walk you through some of the challenges will really help you too.
The megasquirt site has some real good EFI info on it.

    texas-19,
That manifold and intercooler box look real nice.
Take a pic inside the box so I can see how you supported the cores.

Looking good. Here's a pic of a setup we're going to build this winter, except I'm going to turn the turbos 90 degrees and have the inlets toward the front.
