Thread: Cav plate setup

    No,I'm not in the wrong forum. When I pulled the cav plates off the Stevens to have them polished, I didn't mark where the hardware went. :hammer2: Now that it's going back together, I notice that the turnbuckles(?) are different lengths. It's probably a hypothetical deal (unless someone has personally set up a old flatbottom jet), but here's the question.... Do I have to lower the plate on one side to compensate for weight distribution, torque, etc? If so, which side does what? I would assume the plate on the port side would go down (relative to the starboard side) to provide some lift to compensate for the driver's weight, but don't know for sure.
    Ideas?
