Xantrex 40 amp best charger money can buy I run 4 optimas blue tops with hifonic amps 2 1600 watts for my six 12" kickers and 2 pdx 4.150 for my JL770
2 pairs of those stereo running for atleast 6-8hours no problem get home hook it up and next morning ready to go.
I bought a couple of these and they seem to work just fine. They come with a bracket, mounted them to the transom. I bought them on sale for $7.00, and they keep the batteries fully charged. I even tested the batteries and there were perfect.

I went the harbor freight rout as well. For the money couldnt pass it up. So far no problems
A Xantrex charger is no better than any other good quality three stage AGM charger. I use an IOTA DLS75 to charge two submarines batteries, which have the power output equivalent of 10 Odyssey 1700s. My system is completely isolated from the boat's electrical system, so I can only recharge by plugging in. I can get about 14-16 hours of playtime at moderate to not so moderate listening levels.
Ditto...I blew up two Xantrex 40's...they suck...had to switch to Cascade/Iota 90 in my last boat....Xantrex could not take a charge from a honda generator...eu2000....Cascade/Iota never had an issue.
SWBob...how much do those batts weigh?
