I have a biesemeyer sprint boat (SS) 522 cu in. 12.5 compresion with one carburetor. 25% gear 11.25 X 15 menkens prop. Runs 106 mph at
6500 rpm. Great river boat, turning left and accelerating hard is more fun than running over 100 mph.

    058,
how many rpms with one fat guy in the boat?
By the way, I think you said you have 2 or 3 flatties, which are you taking to Tower Park?
And by the way again. A while back you posted a pic of your baot in a building with 2 other boats. One, maybe 2 of them looked to be wood deckers. Are they yours?

How about a Schiada v bottom with a 1000 hp 505 cubic inch turbo big block Chevy, 1.48 gear, 5800 rpm, 11 1/2 x 15 prop, that should make an honest 100 mph, driveable even in bumpy water. Photos available, engine for sale without the boat, email agt001@aol.com

Hey Old rigger, long time no chat. How have you been? All 3 of those flats are indeed mine. I will prob. take the Lavey to Tower, its more suitable for delta use, a bit more freeboard, carries more fuel and idles quietly at 600 rpms. [thru transom exhaust] Both the Howard [orange boat] and the Lavey are wood deck hulls. Unfortunatly I glassed and painted the wood over on the Howard because the weather wasn't kind to the wood when it was stored outside, it is now stored inside with the other 2 boats and I may redo the wood deck. Looking forward to meeting you at Tower.

I was always told that all Vdrives went over 100mph and all jets went less than 60mph. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

How about 69 sanger w/ 410 cubic inch small block. crower crank, carrallo rods, je pistons, littlefield blower, alum pontiac heads. 2 750 holleys. Runs on 110 octane. Est 800hp. power glide trans, casale (not sure on gears or prop size - 2 blade). A true daily dragster. never been on the gun, but goes faster than I can drive it.
