One end is a compression fitting(I know how to set it up), the other end is not, Im planning on threading it into an aluminum manifold. Is there anything special I need to do to make sure it will not leak?

The teflon tape works, but the teflon paste made by permatex seems to last longer, and seal better. You can get it at any auto part store.
