I am just about to order a new daytona and I'm wondering what other members etc with past experience think as far as length. I have a 2006 30 Daytona and am looking at either a 28, 30 or 33. I will probably power it with either Ilmor 710's (I have 625's now) or teague 800's. The 28 and the 33 have a updated deck which I love but I still think as far as trailoring and fairly rough water use the 30 is perfect, but I'm thinking of switching it up abit and am wondering what other members/owners think.

lol yes I love your answer but I need a little bit of comfort as I have a wife and a baby on the way and a small cuddy is a must.

I have a F-29 for sale with 740's for low 200's.... 80 hours and all fresh drives.

i would stick with the 30 if you dont plan on hitting the big blue. the 30 is about as big as i want to wrestle around havazoo. but, to each their own. the 30 can post some big numbers up with 710's and be a great family boat.

I do like the trailorability of the 30 but I keep it on i lift so its really not as much of an issue just thinking with big power about the 33. I ran into a 40' skator on the lake last weekend, its a early nineties edition so i'm sure the new hulls are way faster...anyways the guy said he had 1000's with wet sump 6's....well the little 30 daytona with 625's kicked his ass real bad again and again....but man thats a big boat on the lake...its 80 miles long and gets real rough even for the 30 so now i'm thinking 33 light layup with maybe drysump 6's and teague 800/900s....any thoughts or opinions?? anyone else heard of any 33's running this or should I stick with teague platinums or go merc 700s with nxts??   ps there is a 30 daytona on the lake in testing with twin 1200's and arnesan surface drives!! yikes!!
