D'Cucci, Rankin/Canary? and a few other still have molds, but those are two right off the bat. I am sure someone else can add some more to the list.
I know this has probably been discussed before.
But here it goes.
Does anyone still manufacture a circle boat hull?
Something for the ss/ps classes?
Thanks

Ray Defir is still making Rayson Craft GN hulls.

He is but he doesn't have the LP molds or the twenty foot GN molds. (according to Rudy)

Thanks,
I am looking for something that can be competitive in todays SS/PS and even K boat classes.
New or a good used one.
Watching those guys at Red Bluff. I like the close racing.
Look in the spam section. Art A. is selling "hobbit".

Not anymore, it's sold!..
There are a few guys that are still building hulls, but I would try and find a nice boat that is already set up first. There is a nice Temptation for sale.

There are other good boats out there that are for sale also. It will save you quite a bit of time and money getting a boat that is already set up. Just a thought.

The circle hull discussion keeps going around and around.
A good used circle boat hull that is fairly competitive and set-up less engine is usually around 8-15K depending on the hull, the parts and what propeller you get with the boat.
There are plenty of good boats around, and usually a few for sale at any given time.
To buy a new hull is around 10K+ for a glass D'Cucci hull, and 18-20K for a carbon Canary boat. (A Phoenix based deal will start producing hulls here soon too.) Then it will take at least another 20K for rigging and a bargain basement paint job. Then an engine and setting it up and finding a few props that work well. There is no guarantee that the new boat will work as well as the used deals that are around.
If you want to spend that kind of cash to try something that you do not know if you will like, then go for it. Lots of guys here that will help you with advice, rigging, etc. But a good used deal may be nice to get in inexpensively, and see if PS/SS racing is for you.

Paul, can you tell me how the can Am boys set their boat up. I am unfamiliar
with their specs. Is it a light SS hull, PS or a heavy lay up. I was going to look at one several years ago but it didn't happen. Always thought it was a heavier hull considering the rough conditions in the Northeast .............................Thanks ....Steve
