I have a jet boat with a 425 olds and berkeley pump. My concern is that I have about 3\4" rubber between the front and rear motor mounts. I noticed that the motor sure does move around, espelly under torque. Does any one else seen this, sould I take out the ruber, or just dont look at it?
My boat had car mounts on the Olds when I got it. It moved around some.. As long as it doesn't lift off the mounts (as in separated mount) it is kind of nice to have reduced vibration and noise transfering to the hull. Now I have solid mounts and at first it freaked me out a little with the vibration and noise. Just be sure everything is in order.
It has glenwood mounts and it probaly done it all along I just never realy looked at it.
