Shasta/Redding 411 help????

I left WA yesterday and arrived Redding half hour ago. Booked Bridge Bay Resort on Lake Shasta but arrived late, so lost room as a no show. Temp room at Redding Red Lion 11 am check out. Besides Lake Shasta where is a good place within an easy commute into Redding? Want on the water hotel/resort with slips if possible. Any good place on SAC River near Redding? If not waterfront hotel, any marina's other than Lake Shasta near Redding/Red Bluff?

Silverhorn has some cabins near lake..
