Wow, so sorry to hear this....JBB is a little mispoken, he was not just a fighter pilots's pilot, he was THE fighter pilot of our age. Larger than life, hair on fire, natural born fighter pilot. I will miss him. I studied him extesively in HS and collage when once upon a time I was tracking to Annapolis and the USN flight school....in another life. My sincere condolances to scat 27's family. Here is a page from the Air Force museum's page of him..standing next to his F-4 with his callsign "scat-27" handpainted on the side of the cockpit...his plane is still at the museum....
