frank nagor's tfj qualified #1 in 7.50 bracket with 7.51. later runs a beautiful 7.37 pass. in the final of 7.50 he goes against hot tub and hicks isn't fooling around. you don't often see then put the bottle in for that class but they had it in this time. i thought it might be the race of the day for jets but nagor aborted early in the run. hot tub ran 7.60 to win.
best race of the day turned out to be the last one. 8.50 final. braun's daytona vs a flat. both ran 8.54 and .4 react time. braun won by thousandths of a sec.

Took runner up in Blown Gas Jet ... had starting issues in the Finals, Tom Cress took the win.
He tried a new impeller on Saturday that didn't work well ... went back to his previous set up with an impeller from Mike (cyclone) and it was back to 8.50's at 129 mph ...

No, they spent the week at Camp Far West.

i was pretty damn happy with that pass...but the 8.17 in a gullwing is far more impressive to me!!!!!

No ... Willis made a valient effort to make it happen, but had blower issues.
Ron had Jeff Smith ("place your bets" boat) in the first round and won, which advanced him into the finals against Tom Cress. Then he couldn't keep it fired when it went green, Tom made a good pass ... all BGJ's were having issues this weekend ... the weather was hot and not helping with tune up's.
