Blown, the only thing Libby was guilty of was refusing to cut bait for the dems fishing expedition. His entire "case" was based on 100% crapola. Bush's action should be hailed as a step to reinstate the constitution into the judicial system.......MP
Libby was a loyal cabinet member and a friend of the President as stated in an earlier post let`s compare Clintons Pardons ond Bush`s and this was not a Pardon he will still have a record, must pay the $250,000.00 and still has a couple of hearings/trials left.

Now there was a loyal friend, she sits in prison Clinton really helped her. I have seen several interviews with her remarkable woman she would not break.Should have ratted on that ass-hole he cares about him self and himself only. The trail of dead people and ruined lives behind the Clinton`s is really spooky.

As for Libby, he wasn't guilty of anything more than stupidity.
I don't know the whole story of what happend, but he was convicted by a jury of his peers... that kind of says he was guilty of something.
I think its wrong for presidents to give any type of pardon... same with goveners with granting stays of exacution. They had thier chances with a jury and appeals.

I cant believe you ****ers put this piece of shit in office for four more years.
Bush is a retard. But Kerry was/is a bigger retard. Elect the less retarded.
Therein lies the problem. There were no good choices that stood a chance in hell of winning with the system the way it is coupled with voter apathy.

Val 007 lied under Oath but Rats have MUCH different standards!
    Yes they most certainly do.
What would Cold Cash Johnson be doing right now if he was a Republican? 20?Not to mention Harry "I won't do anything right now, but after we know each other for a while we can do some business." Reid.
He blown, find me another case, of anyone, ANYONE, convicted of "obstruction of justice" where there was no justice obstructed, because no crime was committed.

Sometimes a pardon is the only chance justice has.
As for "Scooter" Libby, this was all a bunch of CNN stuff anyway designed to distract you from the real crimes and misdemeanors committed daily.

    And bush hasen't?
Different load. His is over legitimizing up to 40 million illegal entrants (the 12 million number is old, and no longer worth a damn, especially since the now dead amnesty bill included FAMILY/RELATIVES)

For those who wants to raise hell about Pres Bush commuting the jail sentence of his Vice President's aide from "prison" to "not-prison", let's consider a near identical scenario, shall we?
    Lets say ........
A full CABINET SECRETARY (not just an aide), convicted in federal court of Conspiracy, Perjury, and Obstruction of Justice, the identical charges Scooter Libby stands convicted of.
Lets say, the president he worked for issued a FULL PARDON to said Housing Secretary. All convictions totally expunged, nonexistent, gone totally bye-bye.
Same? Different? Who still cries foul?
The name Henry Cisneros may ring a bell.
Secretary of Housing & Urban Development, Henry Cisneros.
Bush screwed the "american people" and the "justice system".
    Yea, right.

United States National Security Advisor who was FIRST:
Fined $23,000 for conflict of interest charges
    2 years later he:
waited over 14 months to tell the president that the Communist Chinese had managed to get their hands on designs for several US Nuclear Warheads. He didn't think it was important enough to tell him sooner.
    Then, 4 years later he:
Removed all 5 classified copies of a single report commissioned from Richard Clarke, covering internal assessments of the Clinton administration's handling of the unsuccessful 2000 millennium attack plots.
When initially questioned by reporters, Berger claimed that the removal of the top-secret documents in his attache-case and handwritten notes in his jacket and pants pockets was accidental.
He later, in a guilty plea, admitted to deliberately removing the copies and cutting three up with scissors. Two of the copies were recovered by DOJ investigators and returned to the archives.
The first acts were PARDONED by a president.
Let's compare sentences for the later to Libby, shall we?
    Scooter Libby ############# Sandy Berger
    Perjury/obstruction ######## Destruction of classified
    $300,000 fine ############# $50,000 fine
    30 months prison ########### 24 months probation
    ###################### 100 hours comunity service
