I am going there to buy some houses and wanted to get the near by lake info.

When will you be here? Lots of lakes have been messed up due to the floods, but the levels are dropping quick. Buda is between Lakes Travis and Austin to the north and Canyon Lake in New Braunfels to the south. Other lakes too, just too many to list.
