Check with Tom Brown. He's the Ipod lover.
Look at the Toshiba Gigabeat 30 or 60. I've had the 60 for a few months, glad I got it.
Brown out jogging with his ipod?

I have been praising Archos for years. I have the AV400 and love it. They have only gotten better since the 400. I highly recommend it. The 604 WIFI will be my next purchase.

Oh good, that's what I was hoping to hear. I actually just got back from the store and bought the 604. YAY...I have a new toy to play with
Did you get the wifi model? There are some plug ins from Archos that you have to purchase but they allow you to play VOB files and H264 files. Also you need to purchase the docking station if you want to use it as a DVR. PM me if you need all the details, I would be happy to advise. The best thing about it is it plays Divx and Xvid really well. Most of the video you find on the Internet is this format. Congrats on the purchase.

I have a Zune and it works great, good battery life on music, and a larger screen than the ipod. Buy it at best buy and get the 2 year no condition warranty for 30 bucks, that way in a couple years you can go trade it in say it's not working properly and get the newest model
