This Thread Is Useless Without Pics!!!
Hi All, I have a stupid question. I am looking to buy a bunch of items for my jet but am having a little trouble identifying my pump. I have been told by a very knowledgeable friend that it's a rip off of a Legend (damn)- what could I check to be sure before spending $$? I know the hull is cut out and the pump is exposed from the front of the loader to the rear of the boat, also it's a setback pump. If photos (minus the broken diverter that I am buying) help I can post.
Thanks!!

OK, I walked my lazy ass out and took some photos. The manuf. is Barracuda - I think they went belly up...

Normally things are not zip tied together either... I'm looking to get a new Place Diverter F.T.N, ride plate, drop snoot, and new steel braded lines for the diverter.
That would be a Barracudda. Marv at Marine Power was having them built for a while. When he passed away, don't know what happened to them. Not a "rip off" of the Legend. Closer to a Dominator if you want a comparison.
So if I'm looking for rebulids or the other parts I mentioned what pump do I buy them for? Would anything match up? Also - nice call, I've got the marine power - power plant.
I never installed one or had one apart but I would think that all Berkeley style parts will fit. I would call Ron @ American Turbine just to make sure. I think he has seen just about everything out there and I am sure he will have anything you will need. Good luck.
Thanks for the info. Are the Berk, Dominator and Legand parts the same? I'm most worried about the ride plate and drop snoot - the diverter I'm looking at lists all 3.

No they are not. Legend had some of there own parts that fit only their pump. If you are going to install a droop any of them "except the Legend "should fit. You don't have a ride plate and the intake does not look like it is machined for one and you can't just go bolt one on!. That pump is set fairly far back. A little to far IMO. Have you had it out yet? What happened to the nozzle?
I've had it on the water many times over the past few years, never really had a problem, rides ok but I'm looking to get more out of the pump... Last weekend two of the three bolth that hold the nozzel in place sheered off... I'm going to drill out and repair this diverter but I'm also looking to upgrade things for future improvements.
For a 3800lb boat does it look too far set back?
If it is working well for you and rides fine then don't worry about it. Just keep an eye on the area around the rear corners of the intake where it is epoxied in. Since that area has been completely removed due to the set back, there is not much support around that area and they will crack. If it is the pic of the boat in your avatar, it looks like it is up and clean out of the water for a bigger boat.
