Local Testing Water - Race set-up

Hello people,
Where is a good place to do some testing of the set up?
Do the police cruse during the week at Ellsinore?

during the week.. there is a no speed zone in the middle..if you go over 100 (or maybe its 80) you need tofollow some special rules.. since my boat wont see that unless I drop it out of a plane.. I dont have to worry about it.

What about noise, the boat has a blower and zoomies, really loud!!
Don't want to travel the whole lake, just about 100 feet or so

I'm curious about the rules at elsinor... I finally got mine together and the first day/run i get a ticket for being too loud. he said i was around 110 db... I'm curious though, he got that number while i was probably around 2-3K rpm. Do i need to be under 82 or whatever it is at all times or only at idle, and are they suppose to be a certian distance away before they should check the level?

Elsinor is unpredictable, I was there about a month ago for some test and tune and some grumpy old ramp nazi on a golf cart was on me before I hit the water, his main concern was noise so I got my $$ back and left, now a month prior I was there with the same boat and the Sherif boat was there lanching right next to me, he did talk to me and his main concern was makeing sure I had a life jacket but he was cool with what I was doing so I ran the boat no problem. So I guess all you can hope for is when you go the ramp nazi is taking a day off good luck
