Marc,
We don't go to Havasu. Way too much drama, drinking, nudity, stupidity, etc. Used to go there all the time for years when it was a great place for the family but no more. We hit the Casino at Parker during the week(no weekend stuff) and try to make it to Mojave and Mead at least once.
Yes, I tried the 26 Hydromotive P5X(It is for sale) and the boat did not like it at all. It may work on yours tho, but no good for me. The best one for my boat was the Hering 5 blade 30. Just perfect at all speeds with a great cruise. It has a slight cavitation when getting on plane so I have to tab it a little until it rolls over. I sure don't stab the throttle as I am running a XZ upper with a Imco 2" shortie. The XZ is the weak link so I have to be gentle.

The Hering 5 blade is probably the best prop you can get right now just a little on the pricey side and I have dinged a few over the years for sure. I stay off the water on the weekends also. Don't like the big crowds and rowdy problems that sometimes develop. Guess I am getting old but I enjoy the smaller groups with families and kids in the cove and everyone just relaxing and having a good time. I roll mine onto plane also, thought about trying a shortie lower awhile back, always wondered if I could pick up a few miles an hour but would the handling still be there. Torque is the main thing that kills drives so I don't cruise in the 4400rpm range because that is where my motor makes max torque which would be hard on my drive. I never stab the stick either just roll it up and bring the speed on.
