Our collages are nothing anymore but breeding ground cesspools for Sedition and Hate America. The America Bashers have entrenched themselves and only hire more of the same.

Yea, figures.
Student senator Jill Edwards said she "didn't believe a member of the Marine Corps was an example of the sort of person UW wanted to produce."
I think they could do far worse than create a few Marines.
Mr Lipscomb at Oregonmag sure sets it out squarely. LOL.. GOOD ONE SIR!
Another distinguished Senator, Ashley Miller, "commented that many monuments at UW already commemorate rich white men."
Ahhhhh the racism, since Greg Boyington wasn't black, he deserves no recognition.
If you are an alumnus of UW, you should be pissed or ashamed or both. Yes, you should, and you should let the little ungrateful heathen brats KNOW!
He died January 11, 1988. He was buried at Arlington National Cemetery with the highest military honors of the nation for which he fought with such skill and bravery. and deserved not a single iota less than the best.
I served with Pappy Boyington's grandson, Randy in 1977-'78. At that time, he was a lowly 3rd class Boatswain's Mate on a 42 year old Coast Guard Ice Breaker. Through hard work he eventually retired as a Chief Boatswain's Mate a few years ago, after a typical Coast Guard Career.
Hardly the route that one would expect of the Grandson of someone described in the same light as a "Rich White Man".
Randy spoke fondly of his grandfather, choosing to tell of his attributes as a Grandpa, and not dwell on his "Hero" status.
After all, isn't everybody's Grandpa a "Hero"?

And somehow, most of the real "heros" never seem to be hung up on the fact they are a "hero". Most are pretty modest about whatever they did that launched them to such a status in others eyes.
