They said allowances were made for Muslim and Sikh pupils only for items integral to their religious beliefs and that, for the same reason, crucifixes were also allowed. But it argued that the purity ring was not an integral part of the Christian faith.
The issue is not church and state, it's the increasing trend towards persecution of Christianity, as proven by the above quote. Muslims get anything they ask for and Christians can't even wear a damn ring. Sad.

I can understand the crucifix etc and stuff like that, but isn't a "Purity Ring" more of a gimmick from the 90's... It's not like it's been a part of any religion for centuries...

My daughter went to school with a 17 yr old girl who had to have her "Love Can Wait" ring cut off during CHILD BIRTH due to finger swelling.
