i beat that 502 like it owed me money for a years. ended up selling the top end to board members and rebuilding the bottom end for a blown deal.
the only drawback to the gen VI stuff is that you can't go big with the bore size (4.56 max i think) and most everyone runs Gen IV stuff.

I am trying to get something together with an old 4 bolt main 454 block. I am wondering of it's even worth the money to use the 454 block, or just get the 502 short block. It's only going on a river boat. No racing for me.
