I recently received a PM from someone asking if I can fix a broken PWC. The answer is yes. Here is a few pictures on a badly wrecked Sea-Doo I just repaired for a local rental company.
After grinding off all the broken glass.... You can see the different color in the glass where someone else tried to repair a previous accident using polyester resin. When it got hit again, it just blew apart....

Do you thin the gel? if so what? Have you used duratec? Nice work!

Thanks. I thin the gel with styrene monomer in the first couple of coats, then I add a little patch reducer and surfacing agent in the final coat. I have used duratec, but I don't normally. I don't really care for the way it dries. I pretty much only use duratec for clearing over floors, and lately I have been using west system epoxy for clear coating floors and things. If I could just figure out how to spray epoxy......
