You have to remove the bellhousing(part the drive bolts to) The pivot bolts are under the trim limit switch and trim gauge sender. Takes a allen wrench but not sure of the size. Did mine last year and it's a bit of a pain but can be accomplished if you have decent mechanic skills. A shop manual really helps.
what the story here nobody repair their own boats? just 2 people here spoke up.

No outdrives just suck to fix
and not chep either.
I used to own a boat shop years ago. It's a young man's job to change the bellows. Bring a chair to support the drive while it's off the transom housing. Get a SELOC repair manual at the same place you buy the bellows kit. Use new clamps, too!
Good luck.
While sitting here remembering all those summer days behind the drives...
If you got water through the bellows into your bilge, check your u-joints (grease 'em)
Check your transom mount carrier bearing. You're looking for rust and scale build up.
Here's where I earned my keep.
Pull the drive, grease the splined shaft, change the water pump and set everything on a stand. Remove the prop, remove the fishing line from the shaft seal, draine the water/oil concoction from the casing and let drain.
Pressure test and vacuum test.
Refill with oil.
Remove the trim limit and indicator and remove the helmet assy.
Do the stuff from above.
Good luck, that'll be $800.00, thank you
