I'm not familiar with the 346 iron heads, what did they come on?
So a guess hmmm..... I say between 700-850 horsepower! Is that a large enough range for yah?

That's a rather wide range you got there. But if this is your first build like this fair enough, you just don't know what to expect. I was running late the day I ran my engine on the dyno a few weeks ago, didn't have time to post an estimate. But I had told Neil at SDPM what I thought it would make. I was within 12 hp. Not bad out of 935 ponies 1.2% close enough.
Good luck with it. Hopefully you will hit your upper number. And for those who don't like people posting numbers, they can always read another thread, but I think most people enjoy the numbers.

    thanks!
i was joking saying it was in my range.the engine has been togather for 3yrs but with a smaller cam .541/.559 113lsa solid lifter/flat tappit.the springs were way too weak floating thge valves at 80lbs seat with 8lbs of boost it ran ok but with more psi it did not go faster so i changed to a roller with more spring psi[240 seat/600 at .650 lift.] and lift, duration.i made about 700hp with 8 lbs no IC 3% UD.
    thanks for your interest!

I had some heads ported my Larry Holt, who is pretty familiar with 440 cast heads. Had some 2.19in and flow benched for "max" cfm(yah right).
But anyway those were 906 casting, and the max they flowed was 255CFM at .550 lift. Which is not very much. I know the Eldebrock heads flow cast at 292cfm at .600

Didn't really notice the face there. Should have re-read.
But after reading what you did before I would guess you would be happy with 825+?

i stuck with my 346 heads for $ reasons.it was 15yrs ago i had them done porting 1000$myles engineering and now champion racing engines in cleveland OH.i put the $ in the SC because i always wanted 1 and will accept whatever the heads will give.the block, heads are o-ringed.
