Is there any way to measure the lbs of thrust in a jet? Berk site say 1400-1800, but what about these hopped up boats and race boats? What are some average numbers?

You would have to put a pressure tap in the nozzle, then multiply that reading by the outlet area of the nozzle. I'm sure someones done it, but I don't recall ever seeing any info anywhere.

You will need to know velocity of the water escaping the nozzel to calculate thrust.
