Thanks, everything really looked like hell this spring!! Put a lot of work into it over the summer and it took longer than expected. It's beginning to get cold here so I am just hoping I can get it into the water for a trial run at least. Sounded great on the trailer before the jet was hooked up though!!
Oh, BTW, it is a 16'

Very nice Cobra Jet. What year is it?
My first boat was a 18ft Cobra Jet with a 425 Olds engine in it. She always fired right up and ran great. I love that metal flake blue by the way. Mine was canary yellow with copper metal flake.
My Baja 223 Bandit was that metal flake blue and certainly got peoples attention.

It's a '79, 16' and originally had an Indmar 454. I was told when I bought it that the original owner was Mark Dayton http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Dayton but I dont know for sure. I've had it for about 8 years, but it's been sitting for the last 4 and I finally got around to getting it back in shape. It's not a "full resto" but it needed a lot of attention. My goal was stock performance, maybe a little better and to use some of the parts I already had. I think it going to be way better than stock tho!!
I also have the original engine cover and back corner pieces that need to go back on...
Oh yea, this is also my first boat, although I pretty much grew up on a lake and my dad owned boats, none of them would ever be considered "hot"!!

CK, you need a new avatar, the one you have doesn't do the boat any justice. Wow, great looking boat! Very nice job!

Yea, I'll have to work on that... Just got the boat wet last night!! Runs great, and she's FAST I ended up just putting it into the lake in town, which is really nothing more than a large pond, but at least I got a trial run...more pics coming soon

LOL, yea, he took 2 other videos but they are like 3 seconds long. Definately running strong, but I run outta lake very quickly!! I guess there is a HP limit of 70 on it...heh
Here's another short vid, but he stopped recording just when I was giving her alittle more throttle...
