They are getting owner surrender emails almost dailyThere's just not enough foster homes so she can accept the dogs into the rescue. Once they get into foster care, they're usually adopted in less than 2 weeks. At this point though, most of the people looking to rehome their dogs, are out of time and have to leave their home and can't take the dog with them.

fyi though there is a no-kill shelter in Ontairo on Mission (West End Shelter I believe) that will take dogs that have to be given up. They do not take strays though. It's not free (there are fees I believe) but they guarantee to place the dogs they take in or they live there until such occurs.
