I have a 1989 175 mrec v6 does anyone know if merc part# 34-14594A-1 reeds will work on my motor.Or a web site that will tell.

Those reeds are used on pro max, super mag and mod vp, plus a few others. You probably know that. The cages for these, and most 2.4s and 2.5s merc & mariner prior to 1997 are the same. Yes, they should fit. Make sure you use locktite on all screws
