Gas lamp Area Recommendations

I have to come out to San Diego for a meeting in a couple weeks (19th-23rd). I'll be staying in the G'lamp district. Any "must go to" or "stay the heck out of" places in the lamp?

Bondi is an interesting place to drink. Also the Gaslamp Strip Club Steak house is a fun place to have dinner with a group of folks.

Two excellent sugestions and Dick's is right there as well, although I've found it to be overarted.
I ended up at the Ivey last night and it was off the hook!!!

The strip joint is good for steaks.
The lounge/bar at the W hotel. Sand on the second floor!

I'm married and traveling solo this trip so won't be into much partying and drinking all night. I'm more after good eats and casual drinks.
Last year I was out there during the World Series. It was easy to find a welcoming crowd; I just had to look for Cardinals’ Jerseys.
