cool ,you did a great job i would love to see you ouy on the water this summer. good luck with the bigger motors
Hi Billy,
The steering is all new, it's a Detmar dual rack and pinion. Sadly they stopped making them after my purchase. You can probably locate some left over stock on the web somewhere, they had made them for 20 or so years. They were allot cheaper than teleflex. Replacement cables for your Ride guide are probably NLA but I would assume your wheel could fit any modern hub and rack set up. There is always E-bay. I bought allot of parts from there..You will want to double check what diameter cable you need. At or before 61 or so the cables were a smaller OD. Those are really hard to find, the larger OD cables 61 and after have been the same ever since.

The throttle cables: if they are the old Oval shaped white control boxes those exact replacement are NLA.. again either Ebay or check out some old marinas.. I bought modern teleflex cables and my good friend modified the box end. My throttle box is an old McCullouch box, it is allot slimmer than double stacking the Merc stuff..

This is the newest addition to the Fleet. We finished her this summer. 1963 Craig Craft "Kit Kat". (highly modified 1 off Deck. Twin 1967 105 Chryslers. We are still working on the final setup.... prop selection (availability) is always a problem with this old stuff..
