Thread: how much carb?

I'm running a 505 BBC with Brodix BB2 plus heads that have been ported, with a dart tunnel ram. Right now I've got 660's vaccum sec. on it. I want to get rid of these, but I am not sure what to go to. An engine builder told me I should run 1050's, but I was under the impression that 750's would more than supply my motor with fuel. Any suggestions?

It all depends on what you want to use the motor for?
A typical Lake boat using your combo would work great with some worked over 660s or even 650DPs.
Then again the Dominators will also suffice but does your manifold except 4500 series carbs? If not why bother buying another manifold or top when you could have some killer HP950s (750 body, 850 throttlebody)or even warmed over HP1000s (830 body, 850 throttlebody)?
Possibilities are endless....the money is not
