Thanks ,not quite sure what my plans are yet the boat is sweet the way it sets but its truly a jet hull (Placecraft) I may remove the OB and convert it back Tom
Well alot of people like them. Bubble exaust and can make some good HP's. There is a nine page bibble floating around that tell's you what to do to make it a Screamer. They do have a bad spot in the rpm range 6500 to 7000? You need a gold flywhell to spin them up to 8000 and get away from the bad rpm's. They are lighter than the modern day stuff, by 100 pounds. They do tend to eat fuel at WOT. But then what doesn't. They are a great motor and parts are still out there. If it were me I would leave it on the boat. Jets are slugs compaired to that motor.I know I had one and spanked every jet I came across, well all but one. Dan from jet performace had a bad daytona.
