Looking to buy a 2750 or 2900 open bow Cuddy V bottom. I had a 26' V bottom and was wondering if this boat will be night and day difference in Saturday's chop at Havasu? They say a 525 will go around 80mph. Is this true? What other brands are better?

The 2750 is an awesome boat in Havasu it will be a joke no swell to big for it on a lake. I have driven the open bow version with HP525 and it is a beauty remember it is an offshore boat. IE... it likes the rough stuff.
Going to Catalina no problem coming back in--- is even more fun when the swells are running with you.
As far as top speed with a 525 depending on the load more like 70MPH at best.
Great boat you can find some absolute steals right now in the boattrader.
    Great choice for a V-Bottom.

Kap is correct on the handling and top end speed for a 525. I have a 29 for sale right now with an Eickert 540/850hp motor. Top of the line parts and custom rigging throughout. Runs right at 100 and will cruise all day at 75mph at 4500rpm through any water. There is pics and full info in spam and offshoreonly.com. I am asking 90K OBO. There is over 60K in motor and drive alone. A boat like this new will run 180K. PM me if interested. You can not go wrong with a Lavey boat. They are built very strong. Mine is all vacuum bagged decolite construction. Let me know if you have any other questions about lavey's also...take care...

Thanks INSman,,,it is a great deal and Boatlooker is making a smart choice in looking at Laveycrafts for his next boat. Hopefully he will find exactly what he is looking for be it new or used. Killer deals on the used market right now saving people well over 50K off a new boat but still getting a boat that could sit on any showroom.
