    anybody have expierience with either. i want to upgrade from my two JL 12w3 to either the 12w7 or the cerwin strokers ...and what do we power them with. And money is an object so are the 12w6 just as good????

    and give it 1000 watts...

    If you aren't going to run 1000 watts to each speaker and give them the proper sized enclosure, save your money. You need a 1000/1 for each W7.
    He opted for a pair of 12w6v2 's

    Im running four jl 13.5 w6's with 2 jl 1000/1 and it sounds awesome.Could'nt ask for more. Two 13's with 1 1000/1 still sound very nice. One of my amps wasnt working right (loose connection) and it still hit really hard.I was told dont waste your money on w7's they take to much power and the 6's sound better.

    I like the 10ws6 as I think they pond hard and still sound good.
    I have only heard the 12w7's once and the car was a huge base wagon rattle trap that in my opinion sounded like crap(Way way base heavy)

    Just get yourself a six pack of Funky Pup subwoofers. JL killers for sure!
