you need to ground the base of the antenna

yeah true, make sure the base is grounded. This is where I have my antenna installed. Works great.

A clicking is probably EM interference from the ignition. Try aluminum foil shielding on each area individually (speakers, deck), and see if it disappears. If it goes away, try to shield that area permanently.
Dont forget to build yourself a helmet out of foil as well so the aliens cant eat your brains.
Aftermarket CDI? If so, it is the reason for your electrical noise.
you where right.i had the dragonfire cdi box in it,put my old black rhino box back in and it sounds fine. thanks for all your help.
