i always thought that was the piont of having a tunnel ram so you had somewhere to tie the back of the boat off with isnt that why there is the viod between th risers? Thats what i always use i didnt know what the guys without them used.

This is a great display of the strength & structural integrity of a steering wheel used as a tie off/anchor point....
Looks like a nice day out there....

I still dont understand why anyone would want one of those cleat things on their boat. The steering wheel and shifter work just fine and there already in the boat. And a fender??? Thats just more weight and takes up more of the beer storage area. :jawdrop:

If that's your vest in the picture, I believe that'd be all it's good for
Mike. Looks a little faded and tattered. Might be time to get some
    new PFDs.

Thanks for posting the picture. I always thought those things were used for people to cut themselves on. Always looked dangerous to me.
That pic was just used for demonstrative purposes only. There are actually flush mount cleats that are far safer and don't pose the type of risk that you speak of.

He'll probably have it until you get a boat running and then get it back to you. :jawdrop:

No. He did have a big bag of fried chicken, but they must have been out of buckets that day. :notam:

    Thanks for posting that up.
Sorry, but it doesn't look like that would work very well. Heck it looks like that rope could pull right out of there if'n ya gave it a lil tug. I believe I'll stick with the steering wheel, ski hook, bucket shift handle, bow eylette, headers or the like.

That a boy Dan. Thats the way it has always been done, and will continue to be.
