I read about slotting the lifter bores for roller set up with the comp cams tool is there any one out there that knows the pros. or cons of doing this will it cause problems in other areas?

Slotting the lifter bore? Never heard of that. I have heard of slotting the hole in the head that the push-rod goes through. This will allow for higher lift cams or larger ration rocker arms.
