15 gears and a 15 pitch prop,= not too much speed or power. No indication of valvetrain parts, so I'll go extra jumbo on my numbers. At 7000 RPMs (yea?) with 15's = 8050. 8050 X 15 pitch = 120750. 120750 divided by 12" = 100625. 100625 X 60 minutes = 603750. 603750 divided by 5280 (mile) = 114.34659. 114.34659 divided by the slip (20%) = 91.4772 MPH! SO, what if it only turns 5500? 71.875MPH Both of these numbers are at 80%, most boats with 2 blades don't get 80%! Good luck!!! It may be a great boat, but I would drive it first and have a GPS speedo while doing so. Those seats scare me.

I don't want it. Just thought someone may find it of interest.

Ugly as sin, Yes. Super great potential if the hull is sound. If the set up is close to right, I would say a 10%-13% percent slip factor would be more accurate. Using the numbers mine has proven, thats the slip factor. Same year, same hull.

    Hey Mardi Gras,
Nice to see someone who calcs the speed formula correctly. I too, used to think most v-drives (lake flats) were at about 20% slip factor, until I ran my Sanger at Ming. With a time slip you can adjust the formula slip until you come out to the same speed as the timeslip. I was quite surprised that my heavy 19' '72 Sanger Flat was at 13%. (based on 6600 rpm, 25 gears, 15 pitch prop. Oh, it went 100.50 mph.
The kids right, these correctly setup tunnel v-drives are closer to 10% (almost as good as a hydro!) Jocko
Stevie, you know if I bought this twin to yours......IT'S ON!!!!! Daddy

It's not the v-drive I don't want it is another 19 foot boat. I have a 19 foot tunnel now and if I get rid of it, I am going to buy a 21. Need more space.

I better go attend a meeting........my addiction kicked in and I just bought this boat. Went from 4 down to two boats with one still for sale, so what do I do......buy another.
But this is WAAAAAY cool, this rare v-drive boat is identical (down to the color!) to my son's boat. I may not get it completed for next summer, but there WILL be a monumental "Twin" Cougar race at CFW IN '09!!!
Steve vs Shaun put on the show this year, now it's little Jocko vs Pop Jocko. Can't wait!
