After reading cp's tunnell vs thread, I bought a vic jr. Just curious what to expect jetting wise and pv, would I have more vac with the smaller intake?

We didn't have the vac gauge hooked up when it was on the dyno, but the idle quality was far better with the standard victor style. As far as your PV is concerned I'm not sure, it would depend on a lot of variables. What do you currently run for a PV?

The pv I've never changed in this carb or any other but 6.5 rings a bell. Half the reason I started this thread was in the carb spacer thread someone mentioned needing to jet richer for a spacer b-cause there was more "room" to fill. BTW 800 marine dp is the carb.

It's not going to hurt any use a 5.5 Hi-flow PV.

If unsure, put it back to stock settings and then go from there if need be. The 800cfm Marine dp (usually -9022) carb was set up for 450-550hp 454/502 single plane intake manifold engines. It has been used successfully on many 454-540 builds.

So I shouldn't expect much "tuning" difference.

I wouldn't think so. Maybe a little jet change and that's it.
