    Good ideas guys.
Bought a can of "The Right Stuff" this morning.
Can I soak this intake in a solution of Muriatic Acid to get rid of some surface corrosion? How strong do I brew it?

I just bought a used Performer intake for my Olds from Tom at JBP.
I also have a new set of Felpro gaskets like this:

Notice there are no holes for the exhaust crossovers. I was going to buy the plugs to block the crossover in the intake but was wondering if this kind of gasket alone would be sufficient to block the crossover, or would it burn through?I made metal block pieces from a stainless wall switch cover. I think you can use the old valley pan off the olds for metal also. I used a wood chissel to scrape out the area on the new gaskets after marking them from the old valley pan. Then just make the insert pieces slightly larger than the crossover holes. I scraped out a thin area on the head side of the new gaskets that matched the fabricated metal pieces so the thickness would be right. They worked perfect. I wish I took pics.
