He built the blue 19' in the winter of '82. He flew Jimmy Anderson in to help set the strut, he lived in Arizona at the time. Eric Scovel still has that boat he bought it from Hal. It's a nice piece and could be bought at a fair price.
I skied behind this boat (Chuck Marino's) in 1982 and was able to buy it at the end of the season.

I have still have that set-up. You guys must have Marino's spare. Did you buy it from Chuck? Was It the whole motor?

Im sure some of you guys got a couple of these trophys laying around! My grandpa (Bud Allerton) pulled my uncle (Brad Allerton) in the flat bottom class. I think he also pulled a couple women ill have to look into that. I think from about the early 80s to mid 90s then he went to apba. I actually have some video of the nationals in San Diego ill have to check the year, but it was when Ronnie Micgrin (sp) lunched everyone down the first straight in the main ***boat final in his K boat. The next im up at are Clearlake house ill scan some old pics we have tons of then.

I bought the complete spare blower setup (w / carbs, and that trick plate mounted fuel log (dual fuel inlets with checkvalves) from Hal in 1986. I kept it and used it on several motors for about 20 yrs.
Here's the setup on the last boat I ran it on. Dave
