Weiand 177 Blower

So what kind of boost can a 177 blower put out on a 468 ci engine? Im thinking about down the road adding one for a little more excitement. Just something simple with one carb.

I had one before my 8/71....
Max blower RPM is supposed to be 12K
I had a 6" lower pulley and a 2" top 3:1 over @ 6K RPM =18,000 rpm on blower :crossx: single 1050 Dominator with 781 heads and only could make 4-5 # on std.bore 454....they are about the same price New as a 6 or 8/71..if your gonna take the Blower Plunge ??? go deep
get a 8 or 10 and be done with it. :idea: ...if you are pulling skiers or a tuber ? yea it will give it a kick on the bottom end ( the 177 ) but thats about it from my experience

Had a 177 on an oval port 454 in my first jet. 850 cfm on it. Made 4lbs of boost. It was the way I bought it, it went good. Lotta low end grunt. Boat went mid 70's I guess. But, would definately consider what Liberator is suggesting. I run an 8-71 on my current motor. Love it. If you ever go REAL big inches, you'll already have the blower for it!!
