I'm wondering how you like the Coleman ss cooler installed in your boat. I have no doubt that it works better than the typical built in coolers for keeping the beverages cold, but does it work OK as a seat? It looks like that ss might become a burn hazard on a hot day at the river.

It works awesome. I threw a party for "Wild On" two saturdays ago, and was amazed on Wednesday night to find that the cooler was still full of ice!
No probs with the stainless. The purple carpet seems hotter.
    Squirts up!

Thanks for the info. I picked up one of those ss coolers at Costco last weekend for $87, thinking I might set it up like yours. Sounds like it works great.

I will attest that the seat is quite comfy and keeps drinks quite cold, that thing held up all of spring break weekend and kept my ass nice and comfy (and the triplets ass's too) and my silvers and hefenweisens nice and chilly!!

I really like that idea. I ordered my 22 Stealth without the rear facing seats mainly 'cause there just isn't much room between the rear bench and the front seats on the 22. I think this might be the thing to do, at least on one side.
How's the cooler mounted? Is it pretty much permanent or can you remove it fairly easily.

It isn't mounted at all. It stays in place pretty well on it's own.
One note though, you need to pad the hinges, as getting bounced around will chafe your seat backs if you don't put something in between them.
