Moose, Almite Lubrication products has one type. You might also PM WET77. He can tell you where he got those.

A braided line with a breather is $10 so what do one of those cost?

Looks like it could be easily broken. I think I like PD'S setup, it would be safer from a damage standpoint and probably cheaper.
I would like to see how it could be broken:idea: unless you are able to dance on the top of your pump
Its made out of a industrial grade plastic and is designed for oiling machinery, it worked great, when the oil heated up the extra would end up filling half in the can and I never had any leaks
i`m sure glad i read this thread. this year i put synthetic oil in my jetaway and now i know why the seal started leaking. i`ll have one of those plastic deals like wet77 does by tomorrow. the place i work has hundreds of pumps and most of them have that to visually check the oil level. wont be any problem to rob one off an old junk pump. maybe i`ll get several to help someone else.

depends on where and what type you put on, but its around the same price for the sump bottle
It would fill up about 3/4 full after a run down the river (10 miles) and would just drain back when things cooled down.
I use a braided line that is plastic lined with a vent on the end of it, they do not cost much to have made, just tuck it up under your transom.
